In our latest annual review, we’ve crunched the numbers that show the amazing effort and dedication of many of thousands of people supporting producers around the world and working towards a fairer trade system.

Here we’ve picked out four of the best statistics - to give you a sense of the difference you are making and the scale of the movement you’re part of.

1. Cards for fairness

It’s brilliant to think that alongside all the money raised, messages of fairness and justice were sweeping the nation last Christmas. We’re so grateful to everyone who bought and sent Traidcraft Christmas cards last year - what a difference that makes!

2. Thousands of generous people

When a lot of people give, the impact adds up to something truly important. You’ll see throughout our annual review, stories of transformation and tangible progress. This is why Transform Trade exists.

What you don’t always see is that this work is powered by thousands of generous people who give their hard-earned money to see a better world.

3. Big community moments

Throughout the year, people gathered for coffee, cake and to take positive action. We loved seeing the photos of communities gathered together - sharing a love of justice. Several Big Brews invited their MPs along and they came to join the event and hear about the importance of a fashion watchdog.

4. A refusal to flush trees down the loo

It’s a beautiful thing to play no part in the mass flushing of virgin paper. Almost 10 million trees are estimated to be cut down to make toilet roll every year

Traidcraft toilet roll is made from unbleached, recycled paper and you bought 58,000 rolls last year - raising money to support producers who protect the environment and trade fairly. Thank you!
