Our Land, Our Rights
In 2020 we released a report titled ‘Our Land, Our Rights’, exposing the horrific impacts land grabs in Liberia - companies unjustly taking land from communities. We used this report to call for a new law to make abuses such as land grabs illegal.
Who picked my tea?
In 2018 Transform Trade supporters called on the big UK tea brands to publish the names and locations of the estates where they sources their tea. Within a year all 8 brands published their estates. In 2021 The Business Human Rights Resource Centre published their Tea Supply Chain Tracker, increasing transparency even more.
Supermarkets Watchdog
After years of Transform Trade campaigning, in 2014 a Supermarkets Watchdog, the ‘Groceries Code Adjudicator’, was set up. The watchdog is an independent body that ensures supermarkets treat their suppliers lawfully and fairly.
